A New Commandment

(John 13:34, John 15:12-14, Matthew 5:38-44)

A new commandment I give unto you.
That you love one another as I have loved you
That you love your neighbour as yourself
Greater love has no one than this
That a man lay down his life for his friend.
You are my friends if you do whatever I say.

It has been said hate your enemy
Take his eye, take his tooth
Sue him, make him naked.

But I say love your enemies
A new commandment I give unto you.
